Vocabulary Workshop transforms students into articulate, erudite writers, readers and thinkers. Using the words, the writing prompts, and the SAT/ACT practice tests, students are incredibly well prepared to read and write for all standardized tests, including AP literature and language tests.

Teach Vocabulary to Increase Comprehension

 

This vocabulary development program explicitly teaches vocabulary through students' active participation and collaboration to learn word meanings, share ideas, and engage with words in writing and speaking activities. 

​

  • Words taught in the context of a reading passage before the students learn the dictionary meanings and, for differentiation, leveled passages online.

​​

  • Word-learning strategies such as analyzing word parts, studying Greek and Latin roots, and multiple-meaning words to help students build their vocabularies.

​​

  • A variety of digital resources and enrichment activities to enhance vocabulary development.

Prepare Struggling Students for Vocabulary Success

Vocabulary Sucess is designed to prepare students who are at or nearing grade level proficiency and English language learners to be successful with state standards. 

  • Teach academic and domain-specific vocabulary that is vital to comprehension using explicit instruction and the Gradual Release of Responsibility model.

  • Differentiate instruction with support from pacing guides that outline a variety of implementation models.

  • Utilize Online Assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction.
